Realife benefits from an experienced and committed staff  and volunteer team, many of whom have personal experience of disability.

Our emphasis on community networking and sustainable community building has resulted in a large number of volunteers and partnership working arrangements with other organisations.

At present our staff and volunteer profile provides the following strengths:

Tony Phillips (Director)

Ba(Hons) in Applied Social Studies and a qualified Social Worker with 20 years experience of designing, managing and developing innovative support services in the social care sector. Ten years experience of senior management level consultancy with the National Development Team (former ministerial advisory body for learning disabilities in the Department of Health. Ten years business management experience as partner in the Realife Partnership. Previous senior management experience in Local Authority Social Service responsible for the re-provision of a 160 place day centre into 9 new community based projects over a three year development period. Currently chair of the National Brokerage Network and a Director of the Inclusion Partnership and the Liberation Partnership

I have worked for Realife for 6 years as admin support helping people with their computer skills.  Most reception tasks are maintained on a daily basis around the office, e.g. filing, photocopying, copy typing, & working with excel spreadsheets.  I am a member of the East Herts Forum, we hold meetings every month & whenever other meetings that the Herts Forum links into e.g. Council Meeting & Valuing People Meetings I will attend them meetings with another member with the Project Worker of East Herts Forum. .
