Projects

Realife takes an action research approach to development and specialises in supporting three year (and sometimes longer) pilot projects to test out new approaches and ideas. We then either launch the new project as a new charitable company in it's own right or arrange for the initiative to be provided by one of our development partners as a mainstream service.

Realife also supports other charities and organisations hosted at our offices including:

  • Snap Community Youth Theatre
  • Actability (Diversity Theatre Company) Actability is a group of learning disabiled and non disabiled permers who meet to create new high qualiting touring theatre productions. The company is run by creative director Phaul Bamlett,co- ordinator Ruth Petrie and executive director Helen Boshier. Based at St Mary's cathlic school and with offices at realife trust  obn Wind hill in Bishop's Storford, Actability is also in partnership with frontline partnership at Brentwood in essex. Actability provde drama workshops across the eastern region in schools, colleges, day centres and many otjher settings. The centre growth area of our work is workshops aimed at assisting social skills aquisition and enhancement for children and adults on the autistic spectrum Actability tours one new show every year to schools,colleges and thetres across the eastern region. The touring show for 2007 is Down 2 Earth , a  comedy about difference adaptedfor the stage by Stephen Wilson from Peter Kimber's book.

 The Realife Trust is celebrated its 10th Anniversary on the 1st September 2007, alongside celebrating the launch of our Capital Fundraising scheme. To mark this special occasion, the Trust need a community event in the grounds of our offices. This abs a great oppourtunity for friends of Realife to celebrate 10 years for the Realife Trust.
