Greenstage

Greenstages were originally designed by Realife in partnership with the National Trust at Hatfield Forest in Essex and are now used all over the UK in areas of environmental sensitivity, for community events of all kinds, for festivals and wedings – the list is endless.

In recent years we have been teaching oeople to make their own – much more sustaniable!

Casarabonela

Thanks to a generous gift from Bob Rhodes, Realife has the use of a wonderful 14th Century house in the beautiful Spanish town of Casarabonela in the Sierra de Nieves in Andalucia.

The Wellbeing Hub

For the past 9 years we have been running our new model Wellbeing Hub at Orwell House providing small and large meeting rooms, a variety of individual and small group therapy services and specialist information, advice and guidance support.

The Wellbeing Centre ended with the closure of Orwell House in March 2026

Care and Treatment Reviews

Since 2015 we have been working as Experts by Experience on CTR panels, reviewing people who have autism and/or a learning disability on section under the Mental Health  Act or at risk of admission whilst still living in the community

We retired from the CTR circuit in February 2026 having completed more that 700 individual reviews.

Rhythm
and Moves

Fara’s fun exercise class combining seated meditation, T’ai Chi, Kung Fu kicks and punching, drumming, music and singing, all before tea and coffee. For adults with learning difficulties and complex needs (age 16 and over) all levels of mobility welcome. Monday mornings from 10.15am to 12pm at the Arbury Community Centre Cambridge.

ADDapt Ability

Rebecca Champ is an Integrative Contemporary Psychotherapist and Coach, and the Executive Director of ADDapt Ability. Her passion is to help individuals with ADHD discover how to design lives they love to live.

From 2017 to 2019 Realife was part of an ERASMUS funded project led by our friends from Rytmus in the Czech Republic with a partnership that included self-advocates from Austria, Spain and Croatia.

National Brokerage Network

Realife acted as the Eastern Region Co-ordinator for the Support Brokerage Network, providing the level 2 accredited Support Brokerage training and a full range of information, advice and guidance services

Cambridge Acorn

Realife and Acorn worked in partnership for mutual support to increase the effectiveness of both organisations in providing emotional support to vulnerable children. Find out more at the Cambridge Acorn Project.

Libra Theatre

Established in 1985, Libra is the regions oldest integrated theatre company run by and for people with a learning disability. Realife was asked to host the company from 2015.

Disability Cambridgeshire

The UK Pie Party

The UK Pie Party toured festivals, fairs and family fun days for four fun filled years where Nicky Vere Compton and the team set up their Pie Party Stall and ran their Pie Party Walkabout, selling old style ‘custard pies’ (Crazy Kids Foam on paper plates) for children to push in their faces, raising money for a cancer charity or hospice, for a donation per throw. In their last year before moving on, there were over 3500 throws!
